Position: Communications Specialist (Temp role)

What You'll Do:

  • Enhance Our Brand: Maintain a consistent and professional image across all Shire communications, ensuring our community knows and trusts our voice.
  • Content Creation & Management: Dive into creating compelling content for media releases, speeches, our Community Update Page, web content, and more, while managing the scheduling and distribution of these communications.
  • Support Digital Initiatives: Provide essential support to our Communications Officer in digital content management and strategic digital campaigns.
  • Promote Our Community: Utilize your skills in publicity and marketing to boost awareness and engagement for the Shire's events and activities across various channels.
  • Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement communication plans that magnify the impact of our projects, enhancing community awareness and participation.
  • Email Marketing: Craft and manage insightful e-newsletters and email marketing campaigns that keep our community informed and engaged.
  • Design and Creativity: Lend your graphic design talents to the production of eye-catching marketing collateral, from adverts to flyers.
  • Collaborative Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to achieve strategic communications goals.

Statutory and Strategic Responsibilities:
