We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious project engineer ready to take their next career step

You will support the Project Manager on high-profile projects such as water pumping stations and transfer main projects.  Gaining exposure to new pumping station and pipeline construction, your typical day may include managing specific project tasks, completing and organising on site investigations, organising permits, coordinating, and obtaining approvals for site investigations, liaising with key stakeholders and construction partners, and reviewing design improvements on how to better manage our carbon energy footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate, and spotlight awareness across safety related observations and incidents.
  • Proactively support the development of required approvals and delivery of key milestones at each stage of the project lifecycle
  • Assist with the timely delivery and management of projects.
  • Support project governance, scope, safety, environment, quality and budgets, including reporting, reviewing, and assessing against plan.
  • Closely liaise with operators and delivery partners for designs, approvals and delivery of works
  • Coordinate the handover of projects to operational teams and ensure as- constructed information is accurate.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role, from design consultancy, construction, utilities, process plants or project management
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with a diverse group ranging from customers, operators, delivery partners and other government authorities.
  • Confidence in assessing site safety on construction sites.
  • Technically capable with attention to detail and ability to stay on top of and achieve deadlines.
