Market Analyst - to support investment decision making through superior modelling and analysis working on some of Australia’s most exciting renewable energy projects.

To support this pipeline of work they have a need for an experienced Market Analyst to join their growing Energy team.

About the role

  • The role exists to support investment decisions and will play a key role in progressing development of projects from feasibility to financial close.
  • Whilst financial modelling and expertise in building of business cases is essential, the role will also adopt a broader focus looking at cost of timelines, development, and construction risks, and oversee risks involved in the development process and delivery process.
  • You will work collaboratively with people across the business to assess the investment and contracting opportunities and generate insights to support decision-making.
  • Your expertise will also provide advice on minimising contractual risks and enforcing contractual rights translates into protecting revenues through the construction and delivery phase.
  • You will have an opportunity to develop a range of models and analytical tools allowing you to provide insights where required, while also improving and innovating approaches to keep them fit for purpose over time.

About you
You have a consultative and collaborative style with a track record of building strong working relationships. Ideally you will understand the development process of renewable energy projects in Australia and have previous experience supporting the business through expert modelling and analysis in delivery of project business case, execution plans, resource requirements, budget, and schedules.
