Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Project Manager to lead and manage complex infrastructure projects within a Federal Government agency. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can deliver results under pressure and manage cross-disciplinary technical programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in project management, particularly in delivering infrastructure projects, and will contribute to the continuous improvement of the agency’s systems, processes, and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet defined objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Oversee and coordinate technical teams across various disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive identification and resolution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, systems, and tools within the agency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project progress, providing regular updates, and supporting the resolution of any blocking issues.
- Apply AGILE methodologies to project management and tracking, ensuring adaptive and iterative project delivery.
- Prepare and produce project documentation, talking points, and other necessary materials as required.
- Conduct research and provide issue resolution as directed by the Program SRO and Delivery Lead.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in delivering infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within short timescales.
- Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary technical programs, from project definition to product delivery/demonstration.
Weighted Criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the agency’s continuous improvement by enhancing systems, processes, and tools related to project management and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience in tracking complex ICT projects and providing support to clear blocking issues.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
- Ability to produce talking points, project documentation, and undertake research and issue resolution both independently and as directed by the Program SRO and Delivery Lead.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Project Management, or related fields.
- Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and AGILE methodologies are highly desirable.
Security Clearance:
- Must have valid NV1 Security Clearance prior to submission
