Job Description

About the role 

We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity working in our trades team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the trades supervisor and will be responsible for proficiently executing carpentry work to contribute towards the upkeep and enhancement of Parramatta’s public domain and facilities. 

On a daily basis you will: 

  • Assist the Team Leader to deliver all works; programs/schedules to the agreed standards.  
  • Make decisions and implement work practices in line with acceptable practices relevant to your position and area of specialisation. 
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs. 

About You 

The successful candidate should have previous experience working within the carpentry industry in an operational environment. 

You will be required to provide maintenance to council buildings and infrastructure, including childcare centres, libraries, and council buildings. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum certificate III trade qualification in Carpentry
  • Hold a current NSW C Class Driver’s License (MR Desirable)
  • Possession of a construction industry certificate “White Card” 

What’s on offer: 

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $68,638.99 to $75,563.22 plus 11% Superannuation.
