The Parramatta Creek maintenance team is seeking a fulltime Leading Hand to work a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

About the role

The Leading Hand plays a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team and ensuring machinery is running smoothly and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the operation of processing machinery and equipment, ensuring all maintenance work is coordinated effectively and adheres to maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring maintenance and repairs of process machinery, plant, and infrastructure are executed safely and promptly, with all work and inventory updates logged in the MEX system.
  • Identifying preventative maintenance needs for equipment to minimise disruptions caused by unforeseen failures.
  • Managing all aspects of maintenance operations within your scope, including compliance with QA site requirements and administrative tasks.

Located at our Parramatta Creek Processing factory, this is a full-time role operating on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

About you

  • Certificate III Trade Qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) and demonstrated experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience with MIG/TIG welding and MEX system.
  • A current driver’s license and forklift ticket.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with confidence in your problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm while working in a changing environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
