The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant that will provide a range of specialist accounting services to support the Group Financial Controller. The role will work collaboratively across Finance and other relevant areas of the University to deliver expert financial accounting advice.

The Financial Accountant will contribute knowledge and support the University's reporting requirements including subsidiaries accounting. The role will provide expert technical advice to a range of stakeholders and will support the development of the University’s accounting processes and performance reporting. 

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have:

A degree qualification in business or accounting, with current CA/CPA accreditation or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields Demonstrated experience in end to end accounting including consolidation reporting, with the ability to interpret and apply Australian Accounting Standards is required for success in this role Excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills and experience working with financial reporting software, use of SAP would be highly regarded This role may suit someone coming from an audit or consultative background
