The role of the Strategic Operations area of Economic Development is to develop an integrated, whole of government strategic approach to major events and infrastructure planning; provide strategic direction and advice on Government’s initiatives to diversify the ACT economy; and to work to create a vibrant community that attracts and retains talented people. This involves high level oversight and strategic management of a broad range of major events, event infrastructure, system improvement initiatives and policy development. Importantly, this unit seeks to identify synergies and align effort across Economic Development.
