Access Hire is experiencing increased market demand, and we are looking for a high-energy, smart, can-do General Manager - Business Development to help us unleash our full business model potential.

You will spearhead our business to the next level in power generation and the renewable energy sector.

Access Hire Perth is a leading supplier of hire equipment, including an extensive range of elevated work platforms and access equipment for both hire and sale. A specialist division of Access Group Australia, Access Hire has continued to be the most trusted hire companies in the area, with a strong brand presence and reputation in the industry.

This role is perfect for a highly experienced sales person who has worked with the sales and hire of generators and lighting towers which will be a primary focus of this role.

The General Manager - Business Development will lead and manage our newest fleet to ensure we meet the needs of our ever expanding client base, supporting new business growth by providing outstanding customer service, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of our quality products and services.

  • Building market share and developing new business.
  • Managing all operational aspects within the business to ensure it is managed at a profitable level, ensuring that revenue, cost and profit targets are achieved.
  • Maximising utilisation of equipment in line with business expectations.
  • Monitoring costs relating to the operational functions of the business, including transport and service expenses.
  • Driving accountability within the business, ensure that our values are embedded at all levels.
  • Improving and contributing to the sales productivity and culture of the business.
  • Ensuring effective relationships are developed and maintained with regulatory authorities and bodies, external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Establish yourself as an industry client solution partner.
  • Drive revenue growth to meet and exceed agreed upon targets on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key sales customers, working in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
  • Spend time in the field by conducting customer site visits that strengthen business relationships.

The successful candidate will be of strong character and work ethic and will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement - in addition you will have;

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior sales level in the construction or industrial sector
  • Experience with the sales, service and hire of generators is essential
  • Have demonstrated operational and people leadership experience.
  • Experience in developing and building strategic relationships.
  • Financial capabilities, with sound literary in spreadsheets and financial management
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy and high-pressure team environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
