: The ACT Courts and Tribunal is a dynamic and complex work environment that provides many services to the community. The ACT Courts and Tribunal Finance team are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who can undertake a range of financial, management and project accounting activities.The Assistant Director, Management Accountant’s primary role is to support the Senior Director, Finance in the preparation of monthly financial and management reporting and analysis to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Some of the key activities include preparing the annual internal budget, maintaining Public Private Partnership (PPP) financial model and reporting, monthly financial reporting and forecasting and annual business case development and costings.
The Assistant Director, Senior Management Accountant will proactively assist in providing accurate and timely financial information and budget advice, reporting and analysis of performance.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in providing financial, budgetary and performance management to the ACT Courts and Tribunal. The position will require experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and financial management systems such as TM1 to develop the annual internal budget, analyse financial data, maintain complex financial models and report monthly on financial performance. This position will appeal to a person who is highly organised, has good attention to detail and accuracy, enjoys developing an understanding of the underlying business to enhance analysis, likes working in a busy office environment and can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires providing leadership and development of the Finance team members and directly supervises the Senior Finance Officer.Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
