AO5/AO6 Senior Web/Digital Content Editor (x3) ASAP start – 29/11/24 (possible extensions) $63-$77 per hour + Super (PAYG, full-time hours) Brisbane CBD location (hybrid work options)  
Six Degrees Executive is partnering with two large QLD Government agencies in the recruitment of 3 x AO5/AO6 Senior Web/Digital Content Editors to join their teams on a contract basis.
One position is for an experienced web content writer to work alongside a Project Manager to review and rewrite the content of several websites to meet Government readability and accessibility standards and is WCAG 2.1 AA compliant. The others are for a website improvement project and the to join an Online and Digital team to support the team’s high volume workload.
You will be responsible for editing existing web content and creating new content for multiple websites. You will use best practices for content clarity, quality, and accessibility to provide a positive user experience.
 
Responsibilities:
Review and consolidate existing web and PDF content on Departmental websites to ensure it adheres to best practice standards for web content. Develop customer focused web content in consultation with subject matter experts. Provide advice and support to deliver high-quality informational and transactional digital services using content management systems (CMS) to inform audiences of housing programs, policies and initiatives. Design and develop customer-centric content of a complex and substantial nature for various digital platforms. Apply human-centred design methodology in content design and project delivery. Contribute to developing and conducting research and engagement activities e.g. surveys, customer interviews, tree testing, usability testing, workshops. Advise clients on best practice, mandatory standards and policy for web (e.g. accessibility requirements, information architecture). Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication and engagement services are strategic, customer focussed and highly effective. Highly Desirable:
Web content editorial experience working in the Queensland Government (highly regarded) Experience using Squiz Matrix or similar CMS Understand and experienced with human centred design or UX design Understand methodologies, and web accessibility requirements Proven experience writing WCAG 2.1 AA compliant web content. Designing and developing high quality digital strategies, websites and interactive services. Writing and editing customer-centric materials for online and digital platforms using research and data to drive decisions. How to Apply:
