Suncorp Group is looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our Terri Scheer Team based in Adelaide on a full-time basis. This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

Our Terri Scheer brand is one of the market leaders in Landlord Insurance. We are looking for a vibrant, passionate and customer focused individual to join our Claims team on a permanent full-time basis. We are a driven team that has a strong focus on delivering a brilliant claims service in the moments that matter for our customers. In this diverse support role you will be responsible for providing technical support, quality assurance, claims processing, training, developing and coaching team members to perform their best.

Key Responsibilities

Key accountabilities for this role include:

Supporting the team leader to achieve strategic business goals Onboarding and training of new staff Supporting the claims team with technical support and coaching for success Build strong relationships, work effectively in diverse and flexible teams Perform quality assurance tasks efficiently with exceptional accuracy Reviewing and approving claim payments Managing a portfolio of claims within service standards Passion for identifying and implementing changes to optimise the team and business Perform quality listening and coaching in line with the EMPOWER model.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Ability to train, coach and mentor team members Ability to design and facilitate training sessions Ability to manage and work to priorities and strategic goals Ability to use initiative and possess strong problem-solving skills To be resilient and have an ability to effectively manage difficult situations Ability to easily adapt to and positively embrace change Excellent written and communication skills Knowledge & understanding of insurance claims Ability to lead by example, self-motivate, take responsibility and be accountable A high level of attention to detail Strong customer service skills
