Kent is currently accepting applications from qualified VET Trainers and Assessors for the following qualifications at our Melbourne campus:

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology (Web Development)
  • Diploma of Information Technology

Role

As a VET Trainer/Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering training and assessment, curriculum development, and recording and evaluating student work. The ideal candidates are passionate about teaching and have proven experience in providing engaging face-to-face training while fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold one of the following:
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, equivalent to TAE40122, or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, along with: TAELLN411/TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy, and numeracy skills, or its successor, ---AND--
  • Must hold one of the following:
  • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools, or its successor, or
  • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools, or
  • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools.

Selection Criteria

  • Vocational Competencies: Must possess vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
  • Industry Experience: Must have current industry skills directly related to the course being taught.
  • Current Knowledge and Skills in vocational training and learning.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of teaching experience and industry currency.
  • Ability to contextualize and develop new content.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with student or learning management systems such as RTO or Moodle.
  • Course Coordination: Prior experience in coordinating courses.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
