**Trainers and Assessors**

We are currently seeking flexible, motivated, confident Trainers and Assessors for the following courses:

- Certificate III in Cabinet Making & Timber Technology

**Qualifications (minimum)**:

- Cert. IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 w/ the required units or its successor TAE40116)
- Relevant Industry qualifications relevant to the delivery of the following courses:

- **Certificate III in Cabinet Making**:

- Relevant work history to show competence.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in Training and Assessment for the course(s) to be delivered.
- Strong experience in face-to-face and online delivery.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills relevant to a teaching environment.
- Understanding of learning theories and learning styles appropriate for adult education and the capacity to recognize learning problems and propose solutions.
- Skills in planning and researching the trainers' area, expertise for the preparation of courses and learning materials, and the identification of setting of standards.
- Well-developed teaching and/or training skills, including the ability to select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to a diverse student population and the competency standards required.
- Relevant and related experience in the industry and/or Training Package being delivered
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Excel and Power Point.
- Familiar with LMS (eg. Moodle or similar)
- Must have proof of full Covid-19 vaccination

Other requirements:

- Must have proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
- Must have right to work in Australia
- Must be available to work in Melbourne, Victoria
- Must be able to obtain Police Check (National Police Certificate) for

employment

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Facilitate delivery of training and assessment programs
- Assess student assessments accurately and timely ensuring that all evidence requirements are collected.
- Provide useful and timely feedback to students on their assessments.
- Submit student results and update relevant reports/data.
- Contribute to the team by participating in planning, development and compiling learning and assessment tools.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff.
- Maintain a high level of compliance and participate in validation/moderation activities and team meetings when required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery and study materials.
- Assess students' language, literacy and numeracy tests when required.
- Maintain professional development and industry currency in vocational areas and in VET.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
