This group is well known and a major player in the Australian dining scene, with several restaurants in Brisbane. It’s quality food and service set in a casual environment. Buzzy, contemporary and consistent.

The group is family owned and have been slowly building a mini empire of quality restaurants around Australia. Known for their fair working rights and giving the staff a genuine work-life balance, this is literally a 40-week role with no really late nights.

They are industry pioneers in training and upskilling staff, making career development a key factor in their success.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager you’ll be mostly floor based. This is a fast-paced restaurant that focuses on friendliness and customer service, so you’ll be touching tables and assisting with service.

Overseeing a large team of about 25-30 staff, training and mentoring. You will work alongside the newly transferred Restaurant Manager, sharing responsibilities for opening and closing the restaurant.

You’ll be helping out with different aspects of BOH, most notably stock control and ordering.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-paced and large restaurant or similar dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing top-tier customer service.
  • Flexibility to adapt and thrive in a dynamic setting.

Some knowledge of wine is preferred but not required.

The Rewards

A highly competitive salary for an AM, between $75-85K+S, with the higher salary offered to someone with strong management experience. You’ll be expected to work around 40 hours over a 7-day roster, with 2 days off. Additionally, there are no late nights; you will typically finish by around 10pm each evening.
