About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Team Leader will provide operational leadership, organisation and support to the afternoon shift team. As a highly skilled communicator, you will engage, coach and lead teams in the manufacturing environment to achieve production goals and targets on a daily basis. Your hands on style will proactively drive and motivate the team, while developing and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, high quality standards and safety.

What will you do?

Provide effective leadership to the afternoon shift production teamPlay a pivotal role in the development of improvement initiatives and projects to increase productivityMotivate and encourage people to improve efficiencies, training and accuracy in task performanceEnsure the team meets scheduled demands to satisfy customer requirementsManage labour efficiently and strategic plan labour allocationFoster a culture which has production staff actively engaged in improvement activities and production targets, lead weekly toolbox meetings

About you

Good working knowledge of all production workstations and tasks in assemblyEffective problem solving and troubleshooting skillsResults orientated, with a proactive, “can do” attitudeAbility to work under pressure and to time constraintsPossess high level written and verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong, confident leadership skillsAbility to use computer technologyManages change effectivelyExcellent organisational, analytical and reporting skillsUphold Philmac policy and values
