Job Description

Working under a qualified Technician carry out day to service and warranty work .

Are you wanting something with variety and have always been mechanically minded, drawn to operating, installing, servicing electrical goods? An Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprenticeship could be the challenge you’re looking for We currently have an opportunity for a 1st year apprentice to join our Customer Care team through 1300 Apprentice. Gain full knowledge of the industry and all necessary skills in install, service and maintenance of domestic and commercial air conditioning. Opportunity to work on many different sites for some large Australian wide companies and experiencing something new everyday. The position is based in Melbourne. Hours of work are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Day to day duties will include:

•Assisting with installing, repairing, servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment in residential and commercial facilities.

•Completing a combination of supervised on the job learning and theory work at TAFE.

•Working at heights and using general hand tools and other industry specific tooling.

Qualifications

  • Mechanically minded
  • Motivated to learn and gain new skills
  • Able to problem solve
  • Good attitude
  • Good communication skills and customer service experience.
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Electrical/Mechanical experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Clean Australian Driver’s licence.
  • White Card
