Job Summary:

As the Natural Resources Field Assistant, you will play a vital role in the management of natural resources within the Orange City Council Local Government Area. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and undertaking various environmental activities and works, such as vegetation control, track installation and maintenance, fencing, erosion control, revegetation, stock maintenance, and tree maintenance.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of Natural Resources within the local area.
  • Liaising and interacting with community groups, council groups, and relevant industry stakeholders.

About You:

  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in conservation and land management practices, including weed control, erosion mitigation, and revegetation.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of a wide variety of small plant items and tools, such as brush cutters, push mowers, out front mowers, generators, mechanical augers, and small power tools.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • NSW General Construction Induction card.
