About the role:

We have a rare opportunity for an individual who has passion and drive for safety, quality, and customer excellence. The role of our Lift Safety Inspector is crucial to the ongoing success of our company’s delivery to Schindler customers.

You will be an individual with a passion for Product Safety and Quality as you will be inspecting customer sites, ensuring all safety inspections are operating correctly, on new installations, modernisations and existing lifts, and safety & quality are maintained at the desired level.

The role is reporting to an experienced PQ&S Manager, who will coach and mentor you in your role.

As a Safety ambassador, you will be a key resource in achieving the most reliable and highest-quality elevators and escalators in the industry. This role will be ideally suited to an experienced Lift Technician from within the Lift industry, ideally with experience in construction, modernisation and service.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Empowerment: Self-organisation of daily & weekly work to deliver and exceed on weekly/monthly/ yearly targets
  • Customer Contact & ownership: delivering industry-leading testing, maintenance and minor repair regime to Schindler service customers and their equipment; ensuring the safe and reliable operation of their equipment daily
  • Teamwork: Be part of a national team of highly trained and reliant experts
  • Best in class: Identify best-demonstrated maintenance practices & help to formalise them
  • People development: Coaching Service technicians and apprentices on defined procedures
  • Technical competence: ideal role to work on mainly Schindler products including 3rd party equipment.
  • Safety: Driving and promoting safe workplace behaviour

What we are looking for:

  • An Electrical trade certificate and license
  • A current driver's license
  • Strong understanding of Safety and EH&S systems
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
  • Team player – willing to share and embrace Schindler's values
