As a General Manager Facility Support Services of a values driven Not-for-profit, you'll collaborate closely with the EGM Enabling Services in this role and be responsible for managing & coordinating mecwacare’s procurement, maintenance, fleet activities, and providing comprehensive end to end strategic & operational advice to the Executive Leadership Team. We seek a leader to oversee commercial relationships with the business and suppliers, ensuring sustainable outcomes.
About the Opportunity:
Lead the procurement function in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for goods and services required for all areas of the business. Work on executing projects supporting the business, as well as collaborating with project stakeholders to identify procurement needs, requirements, strategy, budget, scope of works/out of scope works, and ensure timely delivery of required resources. Management of mecwacare’s in house building maintenance teams, gardeners and painters. Management of mecwacare’s current fleet of passenger, commercial vehicles and buses. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation and escalation plans. Identify, implement and maintain a best practice contracts management system and Building Management system to support the activities of the team and the business.
About you:

You will be working with a progressive leadership team who value community spirit, outside the box thinkers and proactive people who are willing to have a go Previous experience in developing and executing large transformation projects ideally within healthcare sector would be an advantage. Category experience across capex and indirects including but not limited to Facilities Extensive knowledge of the various procurement processes available to an organisation. You will have attention to detail, strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiating & problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal & written communication skills. Sound understanding of risk management principles and practices. CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) membership would be highly regarded. What we offer:
