As a Case Planning Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates, overseeing case management practices that promote safety and positive outcomes. Working at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you will lead a dedicated team committed to supporting inmates and ensuring the safety of the community.

You’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Case Planning Officers
  • Ensuring high-quality case plans, classification, and placement of inmates
  • Managing the timely and effective implementation of case management processes
  • Overseeing the allocation of caseloads and assessments
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of case management systems
  • Ensuring a safe and respectful environment for staff, inmates, and visitors

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Criminology, Social Work, or Social Sciences or relevant industry experience in a similar role
  • Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
  • Experience leading a team
  • Strong understanding of classification, placement, and risk management
  • Ability to build inclusive, collaborative teams and manage performance
  • Experience working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
