Your opportunity

As our Assistant Financial Controller, you will have oversight of group and corporate level financial accounting and reporting. The role will also work with finance teams to ensure accuracy and integrity in the financial accounts and be responsible for external and internal audit, preparation of statutory accounts, regulatory and FBT compliance and the development of internal controls and procedures.

This is a permanent full-time role based at St Leonards with working from home opportunities.

The role

Month end accounts, including reviewing results, conducting variance analysis and working with business partners to understand drivers or corrections Preparation of statutory financial statements Identify, raise and provide insights and recommendations on financial accounting issues based on interpretation of accounting standards and other changes to reporting frameworks Compliance with FBT regulations and lodgment of returns and all relevant statutory obligations Assist financial processes, procedures, policies and internal controls Monthly completion of balance sheet reconciliations for review by Management and Auditors Assist the internal / external audit processes and liaise with Auditors Aged Care Financial Reporting and Quarterly Financial Reporting processes and submission Provide leadership and development to Financial Control team 2IC to Financial Controller Assist with technical accounting advice Responsible for the fixed assets register, leases and banking reconciliations Responsible for UK business partnering, financial statements, budgeting, consolidation and audit. Various project work and ad hoc tasks as required

You

Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action CA qualified essential Audit experience in a chartered firm essential Ability to interpret and apply the relevant accounting standards and keep up to date A minimum of 2-3 years demonstrated experience in a similar corporate role Experience managing a team of skilled professionals Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within set timeframes Excellent administrative and computer skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in laymen’s terms Strong financial and commercial modelling and analysis skills Strong financial and business partnering skills Exposure to the Aged Care Sector advantageous Ability to work independently and as part of a team Empathy and patience Exposure to Epicor systems advantageous
