Location: North Sydney

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Analyze customer and project requirements to ensure timely production of compliant design deliverables.
  • Provide technical input for equipment selection and support sourcing department in technical matters with suppliers.
  • Review and approve medium and high voltage primary designs in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct design calculations including short circuit forces, conductor sizing, and lighting studies.
  • Manage specialist studies in areas such as earthing and insulation coordination.

Qualifications and experience wanted: 

  • Masters/Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field 
  • 4+ years of experience in Substation Primary Engineering 
  • Strong knowledge of HV/MV equipment and systems, including transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
