About the role

As Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects within the council's Capital Works Programs including transport and traffic, flood mitigation and drainage and asset rehabilitation projects.

You will be part of the Technical Services and Coordination team and your responsibilities will include undertaking, coordinating and managing conceptual and detailed designs for civil infrastructure projects ensuring they align with budget, schedule and current design standards and guidelines.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Prepare design briefs, coordinate the procurement of design services from external consultants, undertake tender evaluations, administer, and manage design contracts Undertake conceptual and detailed engineering design of various civil infrastructure projects Manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholders including public utility providers in relation to all design matters Develop and maintain design procedures, practices, and software applications

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Current Queensland C class driver’s licence Registered professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation desirable Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership

A pre employment medical will be required for this role (Including drug and alcohol testing)

This is a permanent full-time position, Level 7 with a salary commencing at $110,575.00 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
