The SPIS Speech and Language Specialist develops and supports the implementation of specialised language programs for students with speech and language difficulties providing negotiated direct and indirect services within a Tiers of Intervention model. A key aspect of the role is building the capacity of Teachers and Education Assistants to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to maximise language learning outcomes for students.
