Scope of the role:

The scope of this role encompasses menu design, responsible for leading a large team of service staff and supervisors, training, and monitoring staff (as applicable) and sourcing of quality produce, alongside able to build strong rapport with guests.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this role includes:

  • Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy.
  • Training staff to follow restaurant procedures.
  • Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
  • Planning and organizing special functions.
  • Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
  • Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
  • Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
  • Organizing schedules.
  • Keeping track of employees’ hours
  • Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
  • selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed.
  • Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
  • Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
  • Appraising staff performance
  • Interviewing/recruiting new employees.
  • May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking order.
  • Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time role, and the nominee is expected to work at least 38 hours per week. The shifts required to be worked may vary from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Relevant Diploma in Management.
  • Experience in building strong rapport with guests.
  • Possess the natural ability to mentor others and build a strong collaborative team.
  • Ability to manage restaurant administrative duties and reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of restaurant compliance.
  • Previous experience of at least 2+ years as a Restaurant Manager.

  • A passion for producing consistent high-quality meals.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in all basic techniques and styles.
  • A strong background in utilizing fresh local ingredients.
  • Knowledge of all food safety standards.
  • A good understanding of all the financials of running a kitchen.
  • A professional attitude in the kitchen always.
  • A love and passion for developing great nutritious food.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative eye for detail and 'can do' attitude.
  • A Team Player.
