Hi, we're Escient and our purpose is to help shape the future for organisations, people, and the planet.
We focus on helping organisations deal with the key challenges that define today’s business agenda and that will nurture success in the future – dealing with change, becoming more human, delivering on a purpose and navigating complexity.
Founded in mid-2016, we’ve grown rapidly to over 150 employees - and we’re not showing any signs of slowing down We received recognition in the AFR’s Fast Starter lists in 2020 and 2021 and were ranked as one of the SA Top 100 Businesses from 2018 through 2021. We’ve also been awarded Employer of Choice for the last five years running.
We are looking for experienced Project Managers to join our team and drive the delivery of services to our clients in Brisbane.
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in successfully delivering client projects while embodying our core values of selflessness, creativity, and courage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, and internal management to ensure project objectives are met, deadlines are achieved, and client satisfaction is consistently exceeded. Your exceptional organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills will be key assets in driving project success and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
In consulting there is no shortage of variety and challenge. You will have a brilliant and collaborative team on your side as you work with our clients to navigate business challenges, implement new ways of working, or drive solutions for meaningful change.
Each client engagement is unique. Each challenge brings new opportunities to make an impact, to embrace and build your skills, and even discover some hidden talents You can never be sure what is around the corner, but you can be sure that our diverse and talented team will be with you each step of the way.
Responsibilities will vary but may include:
- Managing end-to-end project delivery, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to ensure team members are aligned and motivated to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively implementing contingency plans to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing strong relationships, understanding their needs, and effectively managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive project environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise and insights to identify opportunities for streamlining project management methodologies and tools.
You don’t need to be able to do 100% of these things right now to apply – because at Escient, we recruit outstanding talent and thought leaders and invest in your future through on the job experience, knowledge sharing and formal learning to help you perform at your peak.
Requirements
Our search for great people means we look beyond just the technical skills. Whilst you’ll bring your expertise, experience, and insights to Escient, you’ll also bring the values mindset and desire to foster an organisational culture like no other.
Naturally, you’ll be a great communicator who is warm, genuine and able to build trust with all stakeholders at all levels. Your ability and enthusiasm to embrace and thrive in ambiguity and take on challenges with gusto will be what sets you apart. And most of all, you love working with people and solving problems.
Our values sit at the absolute heart of everything we do. Being selfless, courageous, and creative, and showing empathy is how we deliver a better client experience, better results and lasting impact. For each and every member of our team, our values are fundamental and embedded in all that we are.
Demonstration of our values is an essential requirement of all who work at Escient.
Benefits
We value our people and support and reward them accordingly. You’ll have a host of professional development and financial benefits to support you, including flexible working; annual BYOD tech and professional membership allowance; purchased annual leave; paid parental leave, and even the opportunity to own a slice of Escient through our employee shareholder scheme. After joining Escient you get to be part of a team ‘pod’ to support you and regularly connect over paid team lunches. You’ll be welcomed to attend regular team meetings and have the opportunity to connect socially and build relationships with your fellow Escienters.
So, if this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your application including your CV and a cover letter to share why you want to work for Escient and how you demonstrate our core values.
