About the Project
Parklife Metro is spearheading a $5 billion transformative project connecting St Marys to the new Aerotropolis. This joint venture, which includes Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, aims to deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills. As the largest PPP project ever awarded in NSW, this initiative offers a unique opportunity to enhance your career.
Role Overview
As the HSEQ Director, you will lead and implement comprehensive HSEQ strategies aligned with the Parklife Metro’s business objectives. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to promote a culture of safety, quality, and sustainability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Provide strategic direction to foster a culture of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality across the organization.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure the project complies with local and international HSEQ standards.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to health, safety, environmental, and quality aspects of the rail project.
HSEQ Policies: Develop and maintain policies and procedures that meet regulatory and project-specific requirements.
Proactive Safety Measures: Implement proactive safety measures to mitigate potential hazards and ensure the safety of all stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies, to drive HSEQ initiatives.
Continuous Improvement: Use data analysis to drive a culture of continuous improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Emergency Response: Develop and manage emergency response plans and ensure preparedness for unforeseen incidents.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Experience: Minimum of 15 years in HSEQ roles, with extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, or rail projects.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, management systems, and best practices.
Skills: Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSEQ management systems, lead crisis management, and conduct risk assessments.
Leadership: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of driving safety and quality initiatives.
