Fuse Recruitment is seeking a skilled and qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our client's team at a food grade packaging site in Thomastown. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the performance of machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely and effective maintenance activities including breakdown, preventative, and proactive maintenance to ensure the overall health and reliability of equipment and services.
  • Collaborate closely with all site employees to maintain equipment and facilities that meet quality and performance expectations throughout the manufacturing processes.
  • Report breakdowns and idle times promptly to the direct manager and assist in root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Support and focus on the effective implementation of a preventative maintenance program.
  • Document and communicate all breakdowns, improvements, and modifications during shifts using a shift communication logbook.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts as needed to support business requirements.Provide quick turnaround results for after-hours breakdowns to maximise uptime.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified fitter with relevant trade qualifications.
  • Ability to work efficiently on high-speed production lines under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating required job competencies aligned with training and experience.
  • A motivated, self-driven, and proactive approach to work is essential.
