The Opportunity
The Silk team is inviting applications from dedicated professionals for the role of Executive Housekeeper. This vital role is based at a reputable hotel located in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your main responsibility includes management and leadership of the housekeeping staff, overseeing the overall housekeeping operations and ensuring they meet Silk's high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate should have a proven 5 star hotel experience in a similar leadership role, along with stellar customer service skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with people.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with all departments to ensure that the hotel is presented well and Silk’s highest standards are maintained from guest rooms to public areas
  • Establishing and implementing operational procedures and standards.
  • Setting and adhering to budget controls.
  • Managing the hiring, rostering and performance of employees, as well as training and mentoring the team
  • Planning and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team.

About you?

  • Prior experience in a leadership or people management role within the Housekeeping department
  • Flourishes in dynamic environments while maintaining a poised demeanor under pressure
  • Possesses robust written and verbal communication proficiency
  • Expert at steering team towards success and ensuring accountability
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • • Exhibits innovate problem-solving capacities along with a proactive attitude.
