The Opportunity


Reporting to the Operations Manager, your main responsibility includes management and leadership of the housekeeping staff, overseeing the overall housekeeping operations and ensuring they meet Silk's high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with all departments to ensure that the hotel is presented well and Silk's highest standards are maintained from guest rooms to public areas
  • Establishing and implementing operational procedures and standards.
  • Setting and adhering to budget controls.
  • Managing the hiring, rostering and performance of employees, as well as training and mentoring the team
  • Planning and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team.

About you?

  • Prior experience in a leadership or people management role within the Housekeeping department
  • Flourishes in dynamic environments while maintaining a poised demeanor under pressure
  • Possesses robust written and verbal communication proficiency
  • Expert at steering team towards success and ensuring accountability
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exhibits innovate problemsolving capacities along with a proactive attitude.
