In Retail Banking our customers are at the forefront of everything we do, where the Community Banking team lead and champion the development and success of the Community Bank Model, which is made up of 220 Community Bank Companies with over 1500 Board Directors, covering more than 300 Community Bank Branches. Community Banking is a franchising model based on 'profit-with-purpose', which means our profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them.

The Senior Compliance & Education Lead is accountable for supporting the implementation of the Community Bank Compliance & Education Strategy within the Retail Banking Network. Providing guidance and support for effective compliance for Community Bank Boards, supporting the framework to manage Board compliance and provide Director education and information on policies, processes and procedures that apply to Community Bank Companies under a franchise arrangement. This is a hands-on sole contributor role where you will work closely with other teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Knowledge & Skills needed for this position:

Solid understanding of building compliance Frameworks Sound understanding of Board Governance Solid understanding of the Franchising Code of Conduct Understanding legislative impacts from a government perspective Ability to build Director Education tools and resources, as well as facilitation, with a focus on continuous improvement Demonstrated compliance experience ideally within a Banking, Finance or Accounting Industry Demonstrated compliance and education facilitation to a broad audience Understanding of Banking, Finance and franchising governance frameworks and associated regulatory bodies Strong negotiation, leadership and influencing skills Ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of company structures and local company frameworks Sound knowledge of general banking practices, advantageous Tertiary qualifications in compliance, risk, banking, finance or education strongly desirable or relevant Business experience

This is a Permanent position working Full time hours where we offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of a minimum of two days in a local Head Office per week where we are open to all locations Australia-wide.
