Northpark Private Hospital is well known as one of the leading Private Hospitals in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Situated in leafy Bundoora, our Patients are locals and those travelling from the outer suburbs of Melbourne or Regional Victoria.

Our site is unique to the wider Healthscope family as we cater to patients from birth on our dedicated 7-10 bed Early Parenting Unit, across the lifespan in our shared 46 bed Adult Psychiatric Units to beyond in our dedicated 10 bed Older Persons Unit.

We provide treatment for Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Conditions, Psychotic Illnesses as well as a range of Personality Disorders. Treatments include Talk Therapy, Medication, ECT Therapy, TMS, Group Therapy, Day Programs and day to day Nursing care. We have one of only 2 TMS neuro-navigation machines in Victoria and provide onsite training should you be interested. Because we are attached to Maternity and Surgical services we are able to cater to patients with a range of comorbidities and both assess and treat our patients holistically.

As NUMs we strive to advocate for and create an environment with the space, education and culture to allow each individual informed clinician to make a difference to both our patient's individual recovery journeys and the healing of our collective human experience from their place of expertise and passion by focusing people management on recognition and support.

Our goal is to have our patients hear and use the same language and skills from the inpatient programs to the bedside. We have a robust education calendar for our Nursing Team and encourage our nurses to utilize skills from a broad range of talk therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT, IPT, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive based Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory as well as Sensory modulation. We offer monthly group clinical supervision on site for our team as well as speedy access to supervisors post crucial incidents. We are making constant improvements to both our site and practise and model our care from a modified Safewards framework.

We are currently wrapping up our site redevelopment and are excited for our building to match our high calibre of nurses including 3 beautiful courtyards, a sensory modulation room, TMS Suite, beautiful day program area and a large light filled staff room If you believe your skills and passion can match up to and complement our Nursing team we invite you to apply
