What’s on offer?

Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager and based in our Eight Mile Plains office, we are seeking to appoint a Project Finance Manager to support various construction projects across the Northern and Central regions with regular site travel. In this position you will ensure that effective project controls are implemented and adhered to by all project stakeholders including early identification with any breaches escalated accordingly. Including but not limited to, you will:

  • Ensure that the requirements of the Construction Monthly Project Reporting Procedure are met for every project.
  • Provide guidance and training to project personnel on the company’s financial management systems including JDE, Postrak, as well as in procurement practices.
  • Provide assistance with assessing subcontract claims and ensure subcontract payments are approved and executed in accordance with the subcontract agreements and that insurances & statutory declarations are current.
  • Provide support to the Project Managers in collating upstream variations and claims.

To be successful, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce with CPA qualifications preferred. Including solid experience in a similar role with advanced Excel skills and an ability to perform detailed and insightful analysis. Experience with JDE or equivalent accounting software is also essential as is Senior Management experience (general, financial, and commercial) with the capacity and capability to lead development and implementation of plans, systems, and cultural change.
