About the role
We are looking for a proactive, highly energetic Joint Venture Manager – Governance and Compliance who is eager to make a difference, to drive change and improvements and oversee a diverse team that is critical to RTIO’s JV&A portfolio.
Reporting to the General Manager Joint Ventures and working in a diverse team within the Finance stream, you will:
- Develop and lead a JV improvement program to transfer how we manage Joint Ventures within RTIO, including finalizing and replicating the RTIO JV Playbook.
- Lead a team accountable to deliver on core JV workflows including reporting, planning, governance and resource development.
- Support JV Managers to ensure strategic approach to JV management, including meeting JV obligations and delivering value for all parties.
- Execution of agreedcompliance program, including annual attestation, agreed upon procedures, JV health metrics and risk management (improvement pipeline).
- Stakeholder engagement, compliance and financial calculations (including for JVs, Traditional Owner Benefit Payments, insurance).
- Engage with various input teams across the business and work with JV Managers to produce JV annual plan for submission to JV participants.
- Input into and execution of divisional improvement initiatives.
- Provides advice, guidance and support to Iron Ore & other RT teams in relation to JV.
- Builds good working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders and works across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Represents JV team at internal forums and discussions as needed.

Where you’ll be working
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand. We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
This role will be Perth based in our Central Park head office.
