Our client (FJC Studio) is seeking an experienced Management and Financial Accountant to support this business in its future growth.

Duties

  • Delivering management accounts including business cost centre cash forecasting and partnering with budget owners to ensure effective cost stewardship;
  • Providing variance analysis with explanations of budget v/s actual performance;
  • Working with FJC CFO to manage the accounting of costs associated with the business projects and associated companies and optimising the allocation and charging thereof, compliant with the relevant GST and income tax legislation;
  • Producing the monthly financial reporting suite and help facilitate the monthly performance reviews of projects.
  • Preparing capital and operating expenditure cash budgets and forecasts
  • Enhancing the cost control practices in business.
  • Preparation of project profit and loss statements and maintenance of management
  • Providing high quality analytical support to inform business decisions;
  • Preparing weekly project dashboards, timesheet summary and evidence to support charging to and cost recovery from the client;
  • First point of contact for budget and cash forecast queries from the entire business;
  • Managing the annual budget and forecast process and comparing monthly actuals. Prepare monthly management reporting to management.
  • Provide support in internal controls and support accounting software.
  • Monitor company cashflow

Financial Accountant

  • Preparing ATO GST filings for the business
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports for companies within the business
  • Preparation of branch's P & L’s.
  • Month end processes
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for companies within the group on monthly basis. Maintain Financial Registers
  • Fixed Assets: Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets register
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST and income tax.
  • Prepare and submit required tax returns and financial reports aligning to accounting and tax standards.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial asset
  • Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
  • Utilise financial software and systems to manage and analyse financial data.
  • Assist in implementing improvements or upgrades to financial systems and internal controls.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified CA/CPA/CIMA or at least 2 years experience who is fully conversant with Australian IFRS and other Accounting Standards, and relevant Australian GST, payroll and income tax legislation;
  • Value focused financial professional with significant hands-on experience with performing high quality accounting, developing expenditure budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to enable business outcomes. Strong attention to detail with advanced Excel and Word skills;

Salary

·      The salary range for the position is between $72K to $90k. The role is a full time permanent position.
