Oversee a wide variety of minor and major works, building and remediation projects on multiple Defence sites across NSW.

THE ROLE

  • Manage on-site works of projects from initial site set up to completion
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
  • Oversee the project site, plant & equipment are maintained and in working order
  • Effective cost control and running of projects to meet project deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinate direct labour, labour-hire and subcontractors
  • Liaise with Supervisors to ensure the efficient and appropriate delegation of work activities.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams including HSEQ, engineering, procurement
  • Complete project progress reporting and weekly meetings
  • Provide advice on any technical, trade or engineering issues
  • Drive problem-solving and lead in developing innovative solutions

ABOUT YOU

  • Expertise in managing construction remediation projects
  • Experience with delivery, budgeting, stakeholder and subcontractor management, documentation and approvals
  • Programming and planning skills
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • A high level of understanding and appreciation for safety

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary Engineering qualification in relevant discipline
  • Construction induction white card
  • Police Clearance due to projects being based on Defence sites
  • Drivers Licence
  • Cert IV in OHS is advantageous
