About the role
Calvary The Regent is a 105 beds Aged care facility in Mount Waverley.
Reporting to the Home Manager and Property Manager, we currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team
Your main duties will include:
- Attend to duties that improve the day to day lives of our residents and employees and ensure a safe and clean living and working environment.
- Various tasks as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant manager including preventative and reactive maintenance of site and equipment, inspections, liaising with consultants, gardening and landscaping.
- Ensure a resident centered approach.
About you
- Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
- Some prior experience in an aged care environment, with a working understanding of relevant Aged Care Accreditation Standards, compliance requirements, and Quality Improvement processes.
- Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
- Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
- A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
