About Us:

Ela's is a new restaurant opening in Cairns City with a focus on quality ingredients made with delicious flavours and beautiful presentation of food and beverages The focus is on local ingredients utilising the very best available.

About the position you will:

  • Have 2 years experienced managing section within busy restaurant setting
  • You will set and arrange tables based on the evenings bookings
  • Be able to carry three or more plates at one time
  • Confidently carry a tray of drinks
  • Welcoming customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
  • Appropriately attending to customers in an efficient and timely manner
  • Take orders utilising Lightspeed, Point of Sale and notifying kitchen and bar of special requests
  • Running and serving both food and beverages to the accurate table and guest
  • Opening bottles of wine for guests at their tables and serving appropriately
  • Ensuring guests have an exceptional experience and on their departure clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen
  • Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
  • collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers
  • Recommend wines or cocktails to complement food
  • Opening and closing procedures, including processing till receipts, banking cash and reconciling transactions as directed by the Manager or Supervisors
  • Reporting directly to the Supervisor and Manager
  • Preparing all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages for patrons while adhering to RSA guidelines
  • Processing orders as well as collecting monies utilising the point of sale, eft pos machine and cash till correctly
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment and regularly maintaining FOH Areas
  • Making a variety of coffees with Latte art such as cappuccinos, flat white and other espresso-based beverages

Experience/Availability

  • 2+ years' Food and Beverage Attendant experience
  • Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent experience
  • RSA Certificate
  • Experience in a 7 day a la carte operation offering lunch and dinner
  • Team focused and passionate about the industry Solutions driven and flexible
  • Available to work full-time

Salary Range:

$60,000 to $73,150

Job Type: Full-time
