John Fawkner Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team in our Oncology Ward. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience whilst we care for them.

As a Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Oncology ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children check
  • Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent (min. 3 years)
  • Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role
  • Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
  • Demonstrated HR management experience
