The Role

You will be responsible for :

  • Building and maintaining the day-to-day operation of computer networks as per the business requirement.
  • Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external standards and guidelines including legislation, statutes, regulations and policies.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
  • Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain and maintain business knowledge.

Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • You have at least 5 years experience, ideally within a Network Engineer / Systems Engineer role.
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
  • You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
  • You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
