About the role

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer manages the engineering aspect of New Product Development projects, collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative engineering solutions that align with project timelines and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for delivering innovative and quality products through engineering processes such as concept design, development, CAD, testing, compliance, and launch support.
  • Supporting the Mechanical Engineering Domain, Project team, Designers, and Quality Engineers in product delivery.
  • Developing Engineering solutions to meet project specifications and commercial goals.
  • Preparing products for Compliance laboratories in alignment with project plans.
  • Leading and mentoring Junior Engineers.

We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:

  • Engineering Degree or similar qualification.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in Product Design Engineering, particularly in small appliances or electrical products.
  • Expertise in Manufacturing, Materials, Testing, and Production.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • Practical experience in engineering design, drafting, CAD modelling, CAE, and Simulation.
