Your opportunity: Restructuring and advisory

We are seeking commercially minded advisory professionals that are ready to lead, adapt, and innovate in a dynamic and ever-evolving business landscape to join our Perth restructuring team.

You’ll help us provide companies tailored solutions to complex financial challenges to restructure and stabilise businesses or to recover value on behalf of stakeholders. You’ll work across a variety of industries with a team that comprises unique backgrounds to bring diversity of thought.

You will be essential to the implementation of our most strategic work and will be part of a range of engagements from strategic restructurings through to trade on insolvencies.  Restructuring partners will rely on you to work proactively as part of a team to deliver projects and navigate a diverse range of engagements.

In a role where no two days are never the same, your key responsibilities will include:

  • working closely with our clients to develop and deliver restructuring and insolvency strategies
  • overseeing an engagement team, managing multiple workstreams
  • interrogating financial information, evaluate options and prepare recommendations for our clients
  • helping clients analyse and understand the performance and position of their business
  • taking a “hands on approach” to implement solutions that are as varied as our clients’ challenges. This may include selling distressed assets, reorganising capital structures or trading on businesses
  • identifying and undertaking research on target companies and preparing pitch documents
  • participating in business development initiatives and marketing activities
  • working collaboratively with the team as they deliver creative and innovative solutions for their clients
  • contributing to your learning and development, and that of our team through coaching and mentoring
  • staying abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging practices, and adapt strategies accordingly.

About you

You are professionally qualified (Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant) experienced in restructuring, audit, M&A or transaction services. 

This means you have:

  • excellent analytical skills supported by an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • experience building and reviewing financial models
  • strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to interact at all levels of our client organisations and within our team
  • structured problem-solving skills, including a logical, disciplined approach to deconstructing problems into their core issues
  • organisation and project management skills
  • hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, highly adaptive environment
  • commercial awareness with strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • a bias towards action and driving rapid outcomes
  • curiosity, empathy, integrity, and strong interpersonal qualities.
