Reporting to the International-based Managing Director, and working closely with the local-based executive, this position will head up the HR function for the Australian business.

Initially, it will be required to perform a full human resources review to ascertain the maturity of the function and implementation of contemporary practice. This will result in the design and development of an HR strategic plan to ensure fit for purpose and alignment with corporate vision and values.

Key Deliverables include:

- Review and possible restructure of the human resources function
- Coaching and development of human resources team
- Talent management including design, development and implementation of a leadership capability and development framework

- Continue to influence and implement a culture of inclusivity and safety

This position will require an individual who has the ability to influence at all levels within the business and has prior experience with people and cultural change. The role offers a balance of both strategic direction and operational expertise, coupled with the ability to design and develop your team to create best practice. It is essential that you possess a generalist human resources background and have previously operated at a senior level, demonstrating the ability to communicate, collaborate and influence at an executive level. Prior experience within the resources sector would be much preferred and exposure to global reporting would be a preference. You will be passionate about developing your own team and creating human resources to be branded as a proactive added value resource. You will have strong team management skills and enjoy coaching and developing to promote success. Experience of the Fair Work Act and NES is also essential.
