Position Overview:

As a Graphic Designer at Yellow Star Press, you will play a crucial role in the creative process, from concept development to final production. You will work on a diverse range of projects, including branding, marketing materials, large-format graphics, and signage, helping our clients achieve their vision through exceptional design. This role demands a highly creative individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop original and engaging designs for a wide variety of print materials, including but not limited to business cards, stationery, brochures, flyers, posters, signage, and large-format graphics.
  • Prepare accurate and high-quality artwork for printing, ensuring all files meet the technical specifications for our offset and digital presses.
  • Liaise with the pre-press and production teams to ensure that the designs are print-ready, making necessary adjustments to layouts, colours, and other design elements to ensure flawless output.
  • Work with clients, providing design consultations, discussing project briefs, and delivering design revisions based on client feedback, ensuring all design work aligns with their expectations and objectives.
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising the quality of the final product.
  • Build strong client relationships by offering professional guidance and insight, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage of the project.
  • Collaborate closely with our in-house design, marketing, and production teams to ensure a seamless workflow from concept to print.
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, technologies, and software developments to ensure that your work remains fresh, competitive, and aligned with the latest industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, manage deadlines effectively, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly and confidently to clients and team members.
  • A creative portfolio showcasing your best work in print design.

Salary Package:

The successful candidate will be offered an annual base salary of AUD$70,000 - AUD$80,000 + Superannuation Guarantee.
