About the Opportunity

The Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit (CSU) within the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group (QGCDG) is investing in a new era of cyber security. Led by the Queensland Government CISO, the CSU is looking for a Practice Lead, Cyber Resilience to help drive sector-wide cyber enhancement uplift.

Reporting directly to the Queensland Government Chief Information Security Officer, the Practice Lead, Cyber Resilience will actively contribute to the uplift of technical cyber resilience across the Queensland public sector by delivering central services and initiatives to help agencies successfully secure their organisations and service delivery.

This will involve managing a team of subject matter experts in the delivery of the Queensland Government Cyber Security program of work with an emphasis on improving the technical posture of government. You will also support the response to significant cyber incidents impacting government or the state.

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to lead sector-wide enhancement of cyber resilience and hygiene, and to manage a team in the design and delivery of the Queensland Government Cyber Security program. You will be experienced in building collaborative relationships across government departments and agencies, local government entities, and broader industry, and driving the uptake of cyber security enhancements and best practice. You will also support the response to significant cyber incidents impacting government or the state.

This will require extensive knowledge and experience across a range of cyber security architectures, technologies, and techniques. Your expertise in driving cyber security and resilience outcomes and programs of work and your highly developed stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills will stand you in good stead in relation to this position, as will your awareness of government regulations and policies relating to cyber security and resilience.

This role is a position of trust, and will require national security clearance of at least NV1 or the ability to obtain and maintain this level of clearance.
