We are currently seeking a passionate, driven, and skilled paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of our families.

Key Responsibilities:  

- Assessment & Evaluation: Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify each child’s strengths and challenges in motor, sensory, regulation and social domains.

- Individualized Therapy Plans: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, working with children, families, and educators to enhance each child’s unique skills.

- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide one-on-one therapy sessions at home and schools, with children with a variety of diagnoses, including motor coordination difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, ADHD, developmental delays, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

- Family & Caregiver Support:Provide education and strategies to support families and caregivers to apply therapeutic strategies, adaptive techniques, and home-based activities to support their child’s development.

- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, families, and each child’s multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve optimal outcomes for children.

- Progress Tracking and reporting: Regularly monitor and document each child’s progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure continued development. Completion of assessment reports, and NDIS goals and progress reports.

Requirements

Qualifications:  

- A degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution.

- Current Occupational Therapist registration with AHPRA

- Working with Children’s Check

- National Police Clearance

- Driver’s license

- Experience: Experience working with children (ages 2-12). Experience with sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other developmental disabilities is a bonus.

- Skills: Strong knowledge of child development, therapeutic techniques, and interventions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Personal Attributes:Compassionate, patient, and creative with a passion for working with children. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
