Your opportunity 

As a Platform Analyst for Physical Security Technology, you will be a trusted partner and advisor to business leaders within your technical platform area to help understand their business strategy and process. You will also be instrumental to maintaining a base and advanced level of asset management and patch management compliance. 

  • Responsible for supporting the technological platform on which the business operates (i.e patch management, virus protection, identity management, digital evidence management)  

  • Responsible assisting in the development of business technology roadmap involving business stakeholders, technical leads and domain enterprise architects 

  • Provide operational support by embedding within the business team and developing and iterating support models  

  • Collaborate with broader technology teams for effective change enablement that minimizes impact to business operations 

  • Maintain a dynamic asset register that acts as a guide for budget forecast and expense management  

  • Jointly manage the central procurement process for all Center's with National Risk and Security 

  • Maintain technical awareness of platform capabilities and limitations 

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the technological platform and any new initiatives, projects, changes or outages and ability to be hands on when required 

  • Maintain relationship with multiple vendors and ensure their services and support follow technology standards 

  • Liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders 

  • Build rapport with Centre operations steam by visiting different Centre's across different regions, inspecting technological landscape and reporting on key technological limitations/pain points 

  • Analyze business processes and recommending improvements 

  • Liaise with solution/tech lead for high level solution design, recommendations, technology or platform delivery roadmap and estimation against business requirement/initiative 

  • Support the successful end-to-end delivery of business outcome and value 

  • Work across all collaborative team, particularly Risk and Security and Technology teams 

  • Collaborate with National Risk and Security, DD&C to update technology processes, standards and specifications 

What will set you apart from the rest? 

  • Advanced knowledge/experience with CCTV IP-based surveillance systems and technology (i.e Milestone), 

  • Advanced knowledge/experience with camera brands/models/technology for use in surveillance systems (i.e iPro, Axis, etc.) 

  • Advanced knowledge/experience with IP-based Access Control systems and technology {i.e Inner Range Concept and Integriti)  

  • Advanced knowledge with Key Management systems and 2-way radio systems 

  • Security License — Class 2A (Desirable)  

  • Milestone Certifications (MCIT / MCDE / MCIE) Desirable 

  • Proficient understanding of Cyber security and Physical Security process and systems interact and operate in alignment 

  • Commercial acumen in identifying operational efficiencies to drive operational savings 

  • Proficient understanding of physical environment layers such as power, cabling, access and maintenance 

  • Expert in diagnosing complex problems, root-causes and able to communicate findings with business partners 

  • Strong relationship management 

  • Expert 3rd party vendor management and partnership
