Overview

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead - Solution Design to join our dynamic team within the Data Office (DO). This role is critical in defining solutions that align with DO architecture principles to meet business needs and drive growth. The successful candidate will lead squads in the implementation of solutions across existing on-premise systems and future cloud platforms while ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive end-to-end vision, translating logical designs into process and data solutions within the DO landscape and cloud ecosystems.
  • Manage and govern solution design implementation patterns, frameworks, and best practices for data and capability products.
  • Provide direction across multiple projects, guiding delivery teams on architecture, solutions, and design initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed solution designs, impact assessments, costings, and timelines while contributing to delivery planning and risk management.
  • Continuously improve DO's CICD and DevOps frameworks, collaborating closely with TMO, Ops, and relevant teams.
  • Engage with business stakeholders, group IT peers, and vendors to coordinate solution design and delivery.

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Systems, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • 10+ years of industry experience with strong solution architecture and design expertise.
  • 2+ years as a data engineer/solution designer specializing in Big Data.
  • 4+ years in data-related solutions involving ingestion, processing, and curation.
  • 4+ years in building analytical solutions on commercial data platforms.
  • 4+ years in IP network-related solutions (switching, routing, firewalls).

Technical Skills

  • 2+ years in analytics & reporting capabilities (Cloud Engineering, Big Data, Spark, etc.).
  • Proficient in Python and familiar with tools like Control-M and Airflow.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of associated technologies (Unix Shell, networking, etc.).
