About the Role;
The Senior Agile Delivery Lead is accountable for the delivery of business outcomes for one or more tribes as well as driving their agile maturity. The role requires strong influencing and facilitation skills to leaders, expertise in change and risk management, and a commitment to driving a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for effective delivery of outcomes and establishing the future Agile ways of working vision for the Tribe. This includes owning tribal delivery activities and creating and managing a quarterly roadmap of continuous improvements for Agile related Tribe initiatives as well as supporting Agile Delivery Leads and Agile Team Facilitators (ATFs) who lead delivery within squads.

The Senior Agile Delivery Lead is accountable for Tribal ceremonies, roadmaps and delivery related reporting. This includes facilitating QDC with stakeholders, driving BRP, ensuring roadmaps and planning activities are completed to standard. 

This role is based in HomeRun, a brand new business inside the Woolworths group. We aspire to create Australia’s leading Last Mile Business, powering the eCommerce growth of all Woolworths Group brands through an exceptional last mile customer experience at competitive economics.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery Management and Leadership

Lead a team of Agile Delivery Leads and Agile Team Facilitators whose squads deliver their product backlog to achieve milestones that drive successful business outcomes Partner with stakeholders to optimise the delivery of tribe roadmaps Drive the formation of tribe delivery roadmaps linking deliverables with OKR impacts, clearly articulated priorities and release milestones. Accountable for delivery metric capabilities across the Tribe and advancing tracking and reporting tools when applicable Contribute to decisions on resource investment to increase delivery effectiveness on tribe priorities Can operate as an Agile Delivery Lead for a squad or program based on capacity and ensuring consistent delivery of priorities. Create a positive and motivated squad environment and ensure team work, transparency, inspection and adaptation to undertake meaningful retrospectives, to collaborate, to reduce handoffs. Lead key meetings, events and ceremonies that include Big Room Planning, Inception workshops, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Reviews and effective Backlog Refinement  Ensure squads deliver business and customer value each sprint iteration getting to ‘done’ and deliverable valuable customer outcomes every sprint).  Manage squad workflow through visual management boards: ensuring squad boards portray useful information to the team and stakeholders and are aligned with practice guardrails.  Remove squad and tribe impediments that delay, prevent or impact delivery of milestones Management of risks, issues & dependencies through setting up and leading tribe events such as the Scrum of Scrums, cross-tribe huddles and key artefacts such as an Integrated Program Delivery Roadmap Drive scope decomposition techniques in accordance with our Scope Decomposition Framework and agile techniques such as minimum viable discovery. 

Drive Culture, Productivity, Effectiveness and Change

Acts as a tribe coach where appropriate to drive best in class ways of working Drives continuous improvement for their squads with clear measurable outcomes for productivity, culture and delivery of value Create transparency and visibility for data-driven decisions through the use of metrics to support decision making and planning, such as velocity, lead times, burn up and burn down charts, cycle times, quality reporting bugs and defects). 

Stakeholder Management

Ensure clarity and alignment of objectives and scope in order to manage expectations across multiple stakeholder groups. Create transparency through clear visibility of status and RAID in order to ensure alignment and resolve impediments for successful delivery Build a strong partnership with the Tribe Lead, Group Product Manager, Product Manager, Experience Lead, Engineering Lead and squad members to balance expectations and achieve the tribe outcomes in the best way possible.

Actively contribute to the Agile Delivery practice to drive best in class ways of working that can be leveraged across all of WooliesX and Woolworths Group.

About You
To be successful in this role: 

Knowledge of eCommerce and current eCommerce global landscape  5+ years experience working in Agile Delivery actively contributing to the successful delivery of initiatives and organisational improvements. Your proven track record in value-based delivery, strong business acumen and using data to inform decision making. Expertise with the use of tools which includes Miro, JIRA, Confluence or equivalent.  Skilled in multiple Agile frameworks Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS), with an ability to be agnostic of agile frameworks when assessing the most valuable way forward.  Skilled in planning, scheduling, and managing risks, issues and dependencies Great facilitation skills in leading various workshop including Inception, SoS and PM Sync, Big Room Planning You recognise the importance of understanding the broader organisational context and aligning Agile practices with business goals.  You have strong stakeholder management skills and can translate complex dialogue into easier to digest communications and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders in both technical and business domains. You’re driven by a customer mission and passionate about being part of a team of great people. You orient around doing what’s meaningful, purposeful and delivers value

Desirable:

Bachelor’s Degree in business management, Information Technology, engineering or related discipline (formal project management education is preferred)
